they make balls

Spring Break! And my long awaited trip to the Meatball Shop.
Last time I wanted to go, it was packed and wait was long. This time was a late-lunch/early dinner, you choose.
The Meatball Shop is a small place in the Lower East Side. And obvious...specializes in meatballs. By just stepping in, you're taken into a small, intimate, and homey interior. They have balls made of beef, pork, spicy, chicken, or vegetables. Yes, I know it's just meatballs....but their menu is very customizable and lets you check off boxes with a marker. You can eat it by itself, or as small sandwich, or add tons of sides for a big meal.
Me and my friend went with meatballs in a bowl served with bread. I went classic beef with a mushroom sauce. The sauce was rich with mushrooms and onions. And you could tell the meatballs were made with quality meat and mixed with spices.
My hungry friend checked off the spicy pork with traditional tomato sauce. Then topped it with spaghetti and a fried egg. Made quite a meal. The spicy pork wasn't to my taste.
Bottom line: Those balls were good, but I'm not in love with them. Their website is pretty fun to navigate since restaurants tend to neglect in that aspect of design.
