$1 Lunches

say what?
LivingSocial promoted their 'instant deals' by having $1 Lunches the other day! Really hard to believe but many restaurants around Manhattan participated and for a dollar you can get $10 - $30 worth of a meal. So I tried Northern Italian cuisine with my friend at Trattoria Alba.

 We shared an appetizer and each ordered a main. App was eggplant wrapped with mozzarella and stuffed with another kind of cheese that I don't remember. The eggplant was delicious and it's so hard to make it at home. I thought the amount of cheese was just right.
Many reviews on yelp praised their 'homecooked' meals but I was disappointed in my fettuccine. The pasta was not al dente and found a lump of pasta clinging together. And we're talking about Italian food here...

Food wasn't the best and didn't live up to my expectations, but with how much I paid for it...I'll shut my mouth.
