the urge to NOM NOM

I'm still kind of giddy from the day I had today
Today's purpose was a trip to thrift shops. But ended up buying so much food....:)
First stop was at Saint Alps Teahouse located at the East Village. This cafe was closed off for renovation and reopened. It was my first time going, so I didn't know how it changed. Me and tomodachi ordered fried chicken and fried sweet potato($3.75 each). I also ordered a Taro bubble drink. Everything tasted just as expected (not SO GOOD, but not bad either). The fried chicken was more chicken and than fried batter which is a plus.
(there was a random REALLY LOUD alarm ringing and the employees didn't know how to turn it off...)

After a disappointing trip to thrift shop, we set out to find TAKOYAKI & OKONOMIYAKI. And we were able to locate Otafuku. It's a small place with only a bench outside to sit. (sneaked it into a nearby Starbucks to eat) We ordered a takoyaki & okonomiyaki combo ($9) to share.

The takoyaki was meh, because I tasted mostly dough. Okonomiyaki didn't dissapoint, it had a lot of cabbage with bits of pickled ginger to spice it up. and add some sweet sauce & mayo...yum.

And lastly, East Village Cheese was nearby and its a def. to visit. I was so happy at the cheap finds of different kinds of cheese. I got a Blue Brie Cheese for $1.50. Look at the size! Compared to the one block I bought at Whole Foods, it was SO much cheaper. There were also these garlic crisp bread that I fell in love with when I was introduced to it by my cousin, but I still have a box to finish at home before I buy it.

P.S. I love this korean snack that my friend fed me. Must go find later.

Good Day, Good Day

Oh man, cheeseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~ I really need to find a good cheese place. But can't stop up too much, considering the heat wave.

Otafuku is <3
Most of it is supposed to be dough, with just a piece of octo in the middle. I don't mind the dough, I like dough . . . mmmmmmm . . .
