Twas a bad day to eat out.

Yesterday's lunch was at this new restaurant in Chinatown. Full House
This restaurant was huge, with two floors. (Not common around Chinatown's restaurants.) And nicely decorated.
EXCEPT
because we were in a rush, we ended up sharing a big table with other people. And unforunately I ended up sitting next to this stranger that smelled. I lost my appetite.
Not that the food was good anyway...

Dinner was at East Udon/Udon House at Flushing. The last time I came here, I loved the udon and the soup base. The tempura was well-done and I always wanted to come back for more.
So this time, I noticed a change in the menu and prices. (priced a bit more, but what can you blame in this economy) But I also noticed a change in the food. A bad change. The fried tempura (ebi-kakiage) was horribly done. It was like they messed up on the tempura batter or something.
AND ALSO. The order got messed up with the waiters/waitresses and it took 45 minutes and 2 "we-ordered-a-while-ago-where-is-it?" for the food to come.

It was an ultimate disaster with restaurants.

Ah.. late orders. Keeping you hungry is the worst.

I HATE THAT. I mean, that really sucks. And your bad tempura story reminds me of my friend's story about how she used to go to this Japanese restaurant before it got popular and they had great teriyaki chicken, but after everyone started going, I guess they had to meet demands quicker, so their food got worse. Like, some parts of the chicken was still frozen kind worse. Stories like these make me sad.

I love how things are international! :D

The strawberry macarons look funny.
