hand-made noodles

Thanks everyone for 18 followers! 2 more till 20! :)

The other day I tried out this hand-pulled noodle place in Chinatown. It was after a dentist appointment and I really have this craving to eat after doctor appointments.

Yes, the restaurant is literally called "Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles". If my chinese doesn't fail me, it says Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles. When I went in it was quite empty 'cept for 2 customers and the place is small (around 5 tables?). I ordered a fish-ball noodle soup. They have options of different noodles (hand-pulled, knife cut, rice noodles) and I picked the hand-pulled.
The cool thing was I was able to watch the man knead and pull and throw the dough onto the table in the kitchen. I've always watched the hand-pulling noodle process on tv, but never in person. :) (aw i should've took a picture...)

The noodle soup...was err...
The noodles were fresh and you could smell the flour. They weren't too soft and had a nice texture to it. (I ordered take-out and they separated the noodles from the soup so it won't get soggy)
But the soup was msg BAD. The fish balls were plain. Total was $4.50.

Comparing to Arirang, which is also hand-made noodles. Its twice the price but also twice the amount. And their knife cut noodles are yummy...I rather go to Arirang.

i mourn at my panda eyes. off to finish my paper.

I've always wanted to try hand-made noodles. I always walk past them by the window.

Awwww, shucks. I was expecting to hear that it tasted fabulous, so that I might go there! Well, you win some you lose some I suppose.

Tots agree on the comment about eating after the doctors. Why is that?
