These are overcooked flan.^
Flan is a sweet custard. It's a mixture of beaten egg, milk, sugar, and a tad bit of vanilla extract cooked to a beautiful perfection. It has a smooth texture and eating one of these is barely enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. Taking a bite makes me want to jump and prance around in food paradise....kidding.
My memory of flan was when I was in elementary school. A classmate of mine held a birthday party and his mother made flan for the whole class. That was the first time eating such a delicious dessert and I don't think I would be able to taste it again. (completely forgot where that classmate is now)

On the next food network star, Herb (one of the contestants) was making flan but he overcooked it as well. D: Simple mistake really, but it makes such a huge diff. I hope your next batch turns out stupendous~~~
LOOKS AMAZING. This reminds of the movie "Envy." I think it was about flan. Flan in a tube or something? I don't know. That might be totally wrong...
