mad for...

Fried Chicken!
I read about this place "Mad For Chicken" or also known as "Bonchon" on Yelp. People were going crazy how good the soy garlic was, and that it was a bar-like setting (they had a bar area) and hard to find but worth the meal! There was also this cheese dukbokki that they described and it seemed so yummy. I had to find this place. And I got a raise!...so I had to indulge myself :3

And so I did.
I met up with a friend, it took us awhile to find the place, but just look UP. What's different from the chicken in KFC or Popeye's?? I think that these chicken are fried twice to enhance the crispness. And they come in either soy garlic or spicy. And the environment itself is already different, it's pretty dark in there (we sat by the window yay) and like I read, it was a bar-like setting. Comfy with cushion chairs and candles. It sounds romantic? haha, but it was us two girls chatting.
We ordered a medium plate of chicken legs, soy garlic. Sorry, I'm not good with spicy food. The medium was six chicken legs, with some vegetables. That itself was $14! O.O I saw the cheese dukbokki on the menu for $10.99.......so in the end I didn't get to try it. Maybe next time.
Taste was pretty good, it was certainly different from the fried chicken that I'm used to eating. The skin was very crisp and there was a soy sauce taste to it. I can't say its an amazing taste though. The food wasn't cheap, and I would go with a big group of friends next time to eat more and split the bill.
After the meal, we got some frozen yogurt as a "servi-su" (service...i like saying it that way :D)
That wasn't enough for us apparently, so we went to get red mango.

Pomegranate yogurt (so yummy) + strawberries + mochi + cocoa pebbles

The place seems nice, but was it worth $14? :O
