Doughnut Plant

Dougnut Plant has made me believe that anything is possible. Such as making me love donuts and SQUARE donuts.
Donuts have never really appealed to me and I label them as unhealthy and full of trans fat. But my first experience at Doughnut Plant in the Lower East Side has helped me redefine this piece of fried dough. It was good news when I found out another plant opened in Chelsea.
The interior has their signature ceramic donut motif seats and handmade pillows on the walls indicating their unique flavors. I was tempted to get all the flavors and shapes...circular and square shaped, Creme Brulee to Triple chocolate and Pistachio. I settled for a Blackout and paired it with a small coffee.

Blackout was chocolate and chocolate...and chocolate fudge! Definitely for the chocolate lovers. I was going to be overwhelmed by the chocolate if it wasn't for the coffee. The doughnuts are on the pricey side but if you want quality, this is the place to go.
