Food-filled summer

HOW'S YOUR SUMMER GOING?
Believe it or not I'm kinda missing school. (Are you serious???) I'm used to having things to do every single day. Now I roll around in my bed and watch k-dramas.
But I'm also enjoying my days eating out, chilling...
I went to eat Thai food lately. One was at Pongsri at 23rd St. I picked a Pad Thai that was really sweet to my tastes. But it was still yummy.

And another was Thai Angel at the border of Soho and Chinatown. Me and a friend shared a Calamari which is deep fried squid. I ordered a Pad See Ew (flat noodles with chicken and vegetables). It was too salty. I couldn't finish it. :(
BUT they have a thai ice tea $1 special on weekends. Definitely going back for a drink.

Went to a friend's house for some authentic Kalbi!!! Yumyum.
And I checked out Manna's $3 falafel wrapped in pita. Manna is open 24 hours and I love the vibe it gives off when you walk inside. Falafel are fried balls made of chickpeas and it's topped with salad and drizzled in a sweet tangy sauce. It was my first time trying falafel and it was okay. I felt the falafel was a bit dry to my taste.

Go try Mamoun's Falafel on St. Marks! It's like $2.50 and AWESOME. It's packed sometimes, but the wait is never that bad (it moves fast).

Man, you are in my area a lot. Come and visit me at work!

Followed your blog for a while but I haven't read it since I was busy and I'm glad I took the time to read it. I'm a new yorker too and looking at all the places you've been to I love as well.

Although I am very very picky about my Thai food (which I'm not) and I have yet to try these two places. I will check them out once I gather enough companions. Food is better when shared.

Thanks for blogging :)
