Yea...
A Kyochon opened at 32nd street recently. It's a Korean fried chicken franchise. I'm starting to see a trend in them. And competing with them is a Bonchon across the street.
Me & mommy ordered two meals, each came with a beverage. One of them was a 5-piece signature fried chicken + potato fries. Another one was fried chicken fingers + chicken croquette. It totaled up to $18. I thought the prices were expensive, especially when you compare it to KFC or Popeyes.
Their chicken were smaller than average ones we see. They say it's because they use 'fresh ingredients' Perhaps not hormone injected meat? Dunno....
I thought the chicken croquette and the chicken fingers were cool. The chicken fingers were coated with bread and rice crumbs, the rice makes it crunchy.
They provide lots of dips/sauces I saw garlic, ketchup, some kind of hot sauce..and they give you a plastic glove to eat your chicken so your fingers don't get sticky icky.
The chicken place had two floors of seating. And the interior design was overwhelming (In a good way) Their chairs and tables were either red (main color) or clear plastic/glass. The environment was definitely comfortable and I think it's the design that draws customers in.
Despite the price, I would go there again. Because I want to try their rice balls and salads. And good design is a plus.
